About Mrs. Pearce
-
I always knew I wanted to teach in a Catholic elementary school. Although I came into teaching as a second career, I knew instantly that teaching in the primary grades was my true calling. I felt the passion, the drive and the love for teaching reading and religion immediately.
My background includes work in human resources, college recruiting and executive coaching for MetLife for many years. Although I loved the nationwide travel and working with college students, I wanted to be closer to home for my two sons who attended St. James School in Stratford. I served as President of the Principal’s Advisory Board, chaired the HSA as well as several school events and fundraisers. It was then that my dream of teaching became a reality. I was able to pursue my passion for teaching as a long-term substitute teacher in a variety of elementary schools throughout the Bridgeport Diocese. I had the pleasure of joining the staff at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School in Fairfield as a full-time teacher in 2017.
