Spiritual Enrichment
St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School is first and foremost a Catholic school. Our school community joins in prayer at the beginning of each school day and throughout the day our students learn the truths of our faith and have opportunities to practice the faith in their daily lives. All students at St. Thomas Aquinas School participate in daily Religion classes.
School liturgies are planned by teachers and students and all students attend mass on the First Friday of each month, as well as on holy days. Our school choir leads us in liturgical music at these liturgies, which are frequently attended by family members and parishioners who appreciate joining the school community in praising God.
Students are prepared for First Penance and First Holy Communion as well as for the Sacrament of Confirmation. During Advent and Lent, students in Grades 3-8 are given the opportunity to participate on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The symbols and customs of the liturgical year are evident throughout our school. It is a privilege and an opportunity to celebrate the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter in our school.
