With an outstanding, nationally recognized curriculum mapping process, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School has established an exceptional academic curriculum that is flexible to meet the varying learning abilities of individual students, yet intensive in design to afford every student the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential.

    Pre-Kindergarten

The Pre-Kindergarten curriculum, which adheres to and exceeds the established Connecticut State Frameworks initiative, is uniquely incorporated into the school’s program mapping process to ensure that the younger children are prepared for a seamless transition into Kindergarten. Children receive age appropriate weekly instruction in religion, math, reading and writing, technology, music, physical education, library, and art to encourage cognitive thinking, gross and fine motor skills as well as social skills.

    Kindergarten – Grade Eight

Our varied, accelerated core curriculum includes religion, grade and advanced level math, language arts, social studies, foreign language, and technology as well as, specialized weekly classes in physical education, art and music.

Through the rigorous process of self-study, the St. Thomas Aquinas faculty is committed to continual evaluation of its curriculum by analyzing each content area in order to develop objectives that meet the changing needs of its students as well as, meet and exceed the mandated educational standards set by the Diocese of Bridgeport
