Heart to Heart is a committee of parent volunteers that connects St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School families in need with support to help them navigate a challenging or busy time. In the past, Heart to Heart has offered meals, carpools, playdates and other support to families who were welcoming a new baby, experiencing the loss of a loved one, enduring an illness, tackling a move, or dealing with a period of transition.

Heart to Heart volunteers can help in two ways:

#1. Serve as the “eyes and ears” of the community to let the school’s administration and/or Heart to Heart co-chairs know if a family is going through a challenging period of transition and/or,

#2. Assist with meals, rides, etc. for school families in need.

When the Co-Chairs receive information about a school family, they communicate the information with the administration in a confidential manner, recognizing the sensitivity of these situations.

(Note: The time spent volunteering for Heart to Heart counts towards school volunteer hours.)
