• After School Care Program Information

    After School Care  2:30-5:30 p.m. (Grades K-8)  and 2:30-4:30 p.m. (Grade PK 3/4/5)

    The St. Thomas Aquinas After School Care Program offers supervised recreational activities, and time for homework and study. The program is considered part of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and is available only to children attending St. Thomas Aquinas. The following is some information that will help see that the program runs smoothly:

    Students are in two groups: Pre-K & Kindergarten students and 1st-8th Grade students, where we encourage children to do their homework and offer support if needed.
    Children attending are escorted to the After School Care classrooms by a teacher. Children may change into play clothes. (Please label your children's clothing). 
    We go outside to play daily, weather permitting. Please make sure your child has the proper outerwear (coats, hats, gloves, etc.)

    Children will be hungry!  Snacks for After Care should be sent in from home with your child and need to be peanut free. 

    The After School Care Program begins when school dismisses, and ends promptly at 5:30 p.m.  Please be punctual when picking up your child. 
    If you arrive after 5:30 p.m. in picking up your child, you will be charged $10 for EACH fifteen minute interval that you are late.

    Attendance is taken - all students must report for attendance so the teachers will know who is present for the After School Care Program.   Students attending other in-school activities and then coming to the After School Care Program MUST report to the teachers on duty when they arrive.

    If you are late to pick up your child from school for any reason, your child will automatically be sent to the After School Care Program. There will be a MINIMUM fee of One (1) hour when the students are sent to the program. 

    Your designated emergency contacts chosen and submitted at the start of the school year will be those contacted to pick up your child/children from the After School Care Program for reasons other than an emergency (you must attend a business meeting, are stuck in traffic, etc.)

    If you make arrangements for someone else (who is not on the registration/emergency form) to pick up your child, you must write a note and state who will pick up your child on that day. A telephone call is not acceptable .   The note should be sent to your child's teacher, or faxed to the school office. A driver's license may be requested upon pick-up.

    PLEASE NOTE: if school is closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather, or for any other reason, there will be NO After School Programs that day.

    PROGRAM FEES 

    Grades 1–8 Hours 2:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.

    One child - $14.00 per hr.

    Two children - $19.00 per hr.

    Three children+ - $23.00 per hr.

    PreK 3/4/5 only 7:30-8:30 a.m. - $16.00 per hr.

    PreK 3/4/5 & K 2:30- 4:30 p.m. - $16.00 per hr.

    Payment

    At the end of each month, a bill will be emailed for your child's care. Please be prompt with payment.
