About Ms. Christine Campbell

  • I am so excited to be a part of the St. Thomas Aquinas School community. I have been teaching middle school science since 2021. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from the University of Connecticut.  After college, I worked for the United Choir School in New Haven as their Choir Manager.  From there, I went back to school at the University of Bridgeport and received my Master of Science degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching journey as a sixth grade teacher in the Connecticut public school system.  After 4 years of teaching in the public school system, my journey brought me to Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and I am so glad to be here.

I am trained in Responsive Classroom and inquiry-based learning.  Responsive Classroom is an evidence-based approach to teaching that focuses on the strong connection between academic access and social-emotional learning.  I bring this into my science classroom so that students have a safe environment to learn and take academic risks in. I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to instill a love of science in STA students!
