I always knew I wanted to be an English Teacher. Some of the greatest people and minds I met were in classrooms during high school, college, and graduate school. I have worked in both public and private schools, but with a special love for teaching in a Catholic environment. Why? Some of the best class discussions I have ever had with my students relate their readings and lives to the teachings of the Church. Through this interplay, students gain a greater appreciation of their faith and how it relates to the world around them. As a professional musician, too, I am always apt to bring music into the classroom to explore lyrics as literature. Teaching allows me to be creative and give myself to my students each and every day with the goal of preparing and providing them the skills for the demands of high school and life.
