About Ms. Laroco

Hello! I am excited to be part of the St. Thomas Aquinas family; it is so apparent how welcoming the school community is, and I feel fortunate to be part of it! Raised as a Catholic, I understand the value of faith and education in addressing the development of the whole person - spirit, mind, and body. As a school counselor, I also take a holistic and data-driven approach to helping students succeed in school and beyond, preparing them to lead fulfilling lives and become responsible members of the school community and society.
My passion for school counseling started as an AmeriCorps member and a third-grade teaching assistant in Boston. What I love most about the elementary level is the genuine curiosity students have about their learning and the world around them, as well as the opportunity for early intervention support that can have a lifetime positive impact on a child. As a sixth-grade teacher at an all-girls middle school in Hartford, they made me love the exciting yet challenging time for students where they can explore various interests, make connections, and acquire positive skills and values for personal and academic growth.I look forward to helping and supporting you and your child(ren) as their school counselor!
