About Mr. Nassef
-
I am thrilled to be joining St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School as the Spanish teacher. My journey began early, graduating with honors in Spanish from Fairfield Ludlowe High School. This foundation fueled my passion and led me to further study Cognitive Science and Italian at Columbia University, where I explored the intricacies of language and the mind.
In addition to my academic background, I attended the BFA program at the Boston Conservatory. My education in the performing arts afforded me the incredible opportunity to direct and choreograph 15 musicals for Catholic schools. This experience not only enriched my artistic skills but also reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education and teamwork.
I earned my associate degree from Housatonic Community College, where I was honored with the Award for Academic Excellence in General Studies. This recognition highlighted my commitment to academic excellence and my dedication to lifelong learning.
This fall, I plan to continue my studies at Fordham University while teaching at St. Thomas. My love for the Spanish language drives me to inspire students to see beyond their immediate surroundings. I believe that learning a language is crucial for broadening one’s perspective, cultivating strong character, and believing in oneself. Through working together, we may strengthen our faith and grow into responsible global citizens. Learning a language opens doors to new cultures while allowing students to compete and succeed in our interconnected world.
I’m excited to share my passion for Spanish with my students and look forward to helping them grow both academically and spiritually.
