Visual Arts

The art curriculum consists of a weekly class for each grade, in addition to a variety of offerings through our Beyond the Bell program, from pottery and painting to cartoon workshops and crafting. Our collective programs support each student’s individuality, creative styles, self expression and interests. We take a personalized and tailored approach, helping them develop their abilities with options to experiment with different materials and projects. We are an earth friendly art department with a huge focus on repurposing recycled and found objects. As a result, students learn to recognize art tools all around them. Above all, art at St. Thomas is fun!

Each spring, all grades participate in our Annual Art Show, giving students the opportunity to showcase their creations and share with friends and family. Curated by our students in collaboration with our art teacher, the show is a source of great pride for the St. Thomas community.
