Governance

In 2024, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School became a Diocese of Bridgeport sponsored school. St. Thomas' Board of Directors (the "Board") has ultimate responsibility for the financial and strategic success of the school. The Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport has guardianship of St. Thomas' Catholic mission and appoints all members of the Board.

The Board is structured into committees, to carry out specific tasks in partnership with St. Thomas' leadership. Committees include Academic, Advancement, Catholic Identity, Facilities and Technology, Marketing and Enrollment, Strategic Planning and Student Life. In addition, the Executive Committee is composed of the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Head of School. The Board meets at least seven times during the year and provides updates to the community on its efforts on behalf of the school. For more information, please reference the presentation below.
