The parents of St. Thomas Aquinas School are an integral part of our school community. Our teachers and administration encourage and rely on the active participation of our parents in support of our classrooms. Each class has at least two room parents, who plan and organize classroom parties and facilitate communication between the parents and the classroom. Opportunities to be involved in the classroom include Library Aides, Reading in the Classroom, Art in the Classroom and the Audubon and Mill River Programs. Parents also serve as lunch room and recess monitors.
Our parents chair all of our fundraising and school events throughout the year and help to make each St. Thomas event a success. Through participation in the Parent Teacher Organization, parents play an active role in the decisions and direction of the discretionary funds raised by these organizations.
Our parents enjoy many school-sponsored adult social events together as well, including the Back to School Beach Party, the St. Thomas Golf Tournament and the Basket Bonanza.
