Walkathon Sponsors

The HSA board, led by our co-presidents, Louise Gidez and Deni Nesi, will continue to be the voice of our families. The HSA works with our dedicated administration, and our School Advisory Board to meet our goals as outlined in our 5-year strategic plan. The successful 2006 Capital Campaign allowed the implementation of this plan. We inaugurated our new Science Lab; a wonderful new learning environment for all the students. This year we opened our new library offering many new learning opportunities to our students. We also have a new playground and field for our students.

These major updates are only the very visible fruits of all our labors. Our very successful fundraising events have resulted in countless improvements to the school. Thank You! The HSA also handles many other events and fundraisers and volunteer coordinations, all which serve to enhance the school experience for our children and teachers. We rely completely on the support and participation from all of our families to meet these goals! Whether your role is to volunteer to read or to do a project in one of our classrooms, to manage or assist with one of our major fundraisers, to participate in the implementation of our strategic plan, every effort is critical to achieving our goals. We also continue our efforts to demonstrate to our teachers how much we appreciate and support their efforts on behalf of our children. Job well done, teachers!

We look forward to a another wonderful, successful year for St Thomas, one in which each and every family feels blessed to be a part of our environment of education, commitment and faith.

Major Fund Raising Events Sponsored by the HSA

The St. Thomas Invitational Golf Tournament: The St. Thomas Invitational Golf Tournament is held annually at a local golf club. Participation in the tournament is open to anyone, either as a player, a volunteer, a dinner guest or as a sponsor at one of many different levels. For more detailed information on the Tournament, call the school office at 255-0556 or email barbara.turner@stasonline.net.

Basket Bonanza: The Basket Bonanza is held annually. The Bonanza, which is held on a Saturday evening at the St Thomas Parish Center, is a raffle and an auction which features “baskets” put together by families, local vendors and other donors in an effort to raise funds for St Thomas School. Anyone is welcome to view the items for bid on the day of the event and purchase raffle tickets for particular items. During the evening event, prizes are auctioned in both a silent and live auction.
