Friends of St. Thomas School, Inc. (aka FROST) is a non-profit foundation comprised of parents, faculty, and friends of St. Thomas Aquinas School.
Mission Statement
The primary purpose is to raise funds exclusively for the benefit of the school to help grow both new and existing programs as well as improving the school facilities.
Positions
President: The President shall preside at meetings of this non-profit foundation. The President shall perform all duties incumbent on this office including but not limited to communicating as necessary to the school community, the selection or agreement of co-chairs of FROST fundraisers, and the development of new fundraising activities on both the local and national levels. The President is an ex-officio member of all committees.
Vice-President: The Vice-President, in the absence of the President shall perform all the duties of the president and such mutually-agreed upon by the President and the Vice President.
Treasurer: The Treasurer shall keep an accurate account of receipts and disbursements belonging to FROST and shall deposit all monies in the FROST account. The Treasurer shall disburse funds of FROST as expenditures arise or as decided upon by the Foundation. The Treasurer will also give an account of all transactions and financial condition at each Foundation meeting.
Secretary: The Secretary will keep the minutes of all Foundation meetings. The Secretary will give, or cause to be given, all notices required by the bylaws, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Foundation.
Events Sponsored by FROST
The St. Thomas Invitational Golf Tournament: The St. Thomas Invitational Golf Tournament is held annually in September at a local golf club. Participation in the tournament is open to anyone, either as a player, a volunteer, a dinner guest or as a sponsor at one of many different levels. For information on the Tournament, call the school office at 255-0556 for more detailed information.
Basket Bonanza: The Basket Bonanza is held annually in March or April. The Bonanza, which is held on a Saturday evening at the St Thomas Parish Center, is a raffle and an auction which features “baskets” put together by families, local vendors and other donors in an effort to raise funds for St Thomas Schhool. Anyone is welcome to view the items for bid on the day of the event and purchase raffle tickets for particular items. During the evening event, prizes are auctioned in both a silent and live auction.
