Home School Association | By Laws | Volunteer Obligation & Family Assessment
Volunteer Hours Form | Meeting Minutes | HSA Board

Your Home School Association is managing the Family Volunteer Hours Obligation for the 2007-2008 school year.   This is a relatively new H.S.A. function - and with that said, we ask for your patience as we work with you to achieve an accounting of each family's donation of volunteer hours.

Each school family must contribute 30 volunteer hours during the school year, or send in a donation of $300, which is $10.00 per hour.   Your continued support within the classroom, after school, or throughout school functions, is greatly appreciated.   As you know, your continued involvement enhances our children's educational and spiritual experiences here at St. Thomas.

These 30 volunteer hours are mandatory for each St. Thomas Aquinas School family, and if you would prefer, please submit your $300 Volunteer Hour Obligation directly to St. Thomas Aquinas H.S.A. before March 31st .

What are my options for contributing to my Family Volunteer Hours Obligation?

  • Option #1: Share 30 hours of your time volunteering within St. Thomas functions as needed throughout the school year. You will have through March 31st to reach your goal.   If you do not reach your 30 hour obligation, you will be billed the balance in April*.   Statements will be sent out after each marking period.
  • Option #2: Pay $300 by February 28th.   If you elect this option, you will receive an invoice prior to the due date.

* Balance will be billed in April - hours donated after March 31st will be honored for the current year .

2007-2008 Family Assessment Participation Form (formerly FERCS)
The Home School Association is managing the family assessment for the 2007-2008 school year.   All school families must attain their individual assessment of $400, which will help defray the rising costs of educating the children in our school.   This year's assessment   is $51,000, which is already factored into the school's budget.  This payment is mandatory .

What are my options for paying my Family Assessment?

  • Option #1: Purchase food coupons for Stop & Shop, Shaws or Stew Leonards.   For every $100 you purchase in coupons, you will receive a 5% (or $5) credit towards your $200 assessment.   Once your 5% credit equals $200, you can receive a refund for your credit on additional coupons purchased. You will have through March 31st to reach your goal.   If you do not reach your $200 assessment, you will be billed the balance in April.
  • Option #2: Pay $400 by November 30th.   If you elect this option, you will receive an invoice prior to the due date.

Please fill out the TWO sections found here and return to the school office no later than Monday September 25th. Please mark the envelope "HSA Family Obligation Forms"
