Through the combined efforts of faculty, staff, parents, and Principal, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School embraces an academic philosophy based on the on going living, and nurturing of a Christian community. Such philosophies will serve to challenge our students in realizing their full potential as dedicated Christians, a profound respect for intellectual values, and giving members of our community. We also commit ourselves to provide guidance to our children and to each other with a clear understanding of Christ’s message of love.

St. Thomas prides itself on its commitment to academic excellence for each of its students.  From the Pre-K through eighth grade, our school follows the rigorous curriculum outlined and directed by the Diocese of Bridgeport Office of Education.

Our teachers are expected to ensure that each child has an opportunity to achieve their personal best and reach the curriculum goals established for them.  Our students consistently score extremely high on both national standardized test as well as admittance tests to area private schools.  While the curriculum is demanding for our students at every level, our academic environment is influenced in large part by Christian teachings, where respect for others, whether teachers or fellow students, is paramount and Jesus’ teachings of truth and goodness serve as the foundation for this outstanding academic program.
